I think that the companies should take a pro-question and answer approach. If you only take them down then you will have people who spam for retribution or to better be seen. As for limiting the comments to so many I think that's fine it limits some spam and would probably be better for others who don't want to see pages full of spams. As for the companies that just take them down at some point the may come across a comment that's real and just label it as spam. then the comments will just be worthless and you might as well leave your own good job or job well done comments from the boss and close comments.
We all know that some people live to spam and I've been on a lot of websites where people spam to the point of insanity check YouTube sometimes can get almost 100 comments all same thing usually a joke or vulgarity. I think talking to them makes it easier to solve these problems. limiting blogs can cut on spam and answering blogs may get you some nice ones in return. Its just personal preference in the end so I don't expect much to change. Some people will mess with you no matter what you do, and some people don't care if its a spam or real report they just will delete it. So in ask whats wrong and listen and cut down on number of blogs so you don't get drowned in spam.
