Cisco has recently been accused of supporting the efforts of Chinese security forces to violate human rights. This accusation is misleading and completely false. We take pride in providing our customers with the best computer networking equipment. Cisco rigorously follows all U.S. export regulations that are currently in place. New regulations will only hurt the companies in the U.S., and will not keep the Chinese from violating human rights. It is the responsibility of the consumer to utilize the products purchased for the betterment of the people they are serving. Regulations against selling these products to the security forces will in no way keep them from obtaining this type of equipment from other sources that may only lead to more peoples right being violated.
