To all Employees,
Communication is vital in the work place. As you all know, the employees are the face of this company. We must be able to communicate to our clients in a respectable manner and in such a way that everyone can understand. New technology has brought about quicker but more unprofessional ways of communicating. There has been quite a lot of text message style emails going around that would not be acceptable for a client to see. Not only would these types of emails have a bad effect on the company's identity but it may also confuse our clients.
When you send out an email, regardless of who you are sending it to, always sound professional. Spell out the entire word, use correct punctuation and grammar, and do not use slang words. You may use text message slang in your daily lives outside of work, however, in the work place you all are required to speak professionally to one another. Oftentimes messages that were only intended for your coworkers, get sent out to our clients and unprofessionalism does not set well with this company.
If you are caught using slang or any text messages style writing while at work, you will receive one warning, as we all know mistakes happen. We take pride in our company outlook and take our reputation very seriously. After you have received one warning, further actions will be taken depending on the particular case.
I expect you to abide by all company policies and take your job very seriously. Professional communication at all times is one step in making the best of our company.
