The United States Postal Service has been loosing money for years but it is a service that is rendered to the taxpayers at a relatively low cost(loss) in comparison to the revenues of taxes. This is like anything else that is a government program; 92% of taxes are payed by less that 10% of the people, yet all of the legal and illegal people in america are entitled to the benefits in which they are offered through government assistance programs. The USPS is the same way in which all americans(illegal or legal) use but the do not pay to sustain the costs of operations. This will be an ongoing problem but the service should not be discontinued.
