McDonald's

I think the change in McDonald’s is a step in the right direction. However, I think they will need to do a lot more than just redesign their building designs. While a new, more comfortable look might help, I’m not sure it is worth the year’s profits, especially when there is no evidence this will increase profits.

What the company really needs to change, is their menu. I think they need to redesign their food. I realize that cheeseburgers are a tradition at McDonald’s, and they are important. However, I think there are probably some steps they could take to make them healthier. As well as the French fries and other menu items. I think their unhealthy food is the biggest threat to them these days and if they are trying to survive this is probably more important than putting in fireplaces and couches.

Once their menu is significantly healthier, I think the building redesigns might be decent idea. Their look is kind of outdated, and their building designs probably appeal to kids more than teenagers and adults. Adding places to study or work or socialize is a good idea. But if they are trying to survive in the long-run, I think they should focus their time and money elsewhere.
